For those of you who're saying "Just talk already": talking about traumatic experiences can be(and usually is) a hard thing to do, and a traumatic experience in itself, because you have to re-live a particular traumatizing event once again. Not to mention that opening up to another person, no matter how close they are, about your personal trauma can be(and usually is) an anxiety-inducing situation.
We have trauma therapy for that exact reason.

And, quite frankly, Aya, albeit unintentionally, is the reason for Mitsuki's trauma. For those of you, who forgot: Aya unexpectedly came to Mitsuki's concert while Mitsuki was stressing out about her appearance and standing in her band, leading to Mitsuki freezing on stage in front of a crowd and a sole person she didn't want to see her in that state. It's a miracle that they're still talking, really.

I agree with most of this, but putting it on Aya for causing Mitsuki's trauma is not reasonable, even with the modifier of "unintentionally". Aya showing up to Mitsuki's concert is a known factor Mitsuki is always going to have. Not wanting Aya there for this particular concert is Mitsuki lying to herself and putting off what is inevitable. With that band, it was never going to work and Aya would eventually be at one of their shows and see Mitsuki miserable.

I'm not saying Aya is perfect here either, she only confronted Mitsuki about this when she was caught lying about the concert. But this particular issue stems from Mitsuki. And yes, it can be extremely difficult to talk about your trauma, agree 100%, my expectation is not that Mitsuki suddenly become a totally different character and communicate perfectly everything she's feeling, but using sex to avoid talking is shitty behaviour regardless.

i dont get why people are saying this problem seems out of nowhere, relationships are bound to have problems and not be a perfect fairytale. Mitsuki just needs to get over their insecurity and have a proper conversation with Aya

Not to mention the last several chapters have been sporadically feeding into this moment, so it’s quite literally some shit we’ve all seen the author building towards

I thought the same thing reading the title. I thought some cozy set up with them being all lovey dovey... Only to be betrayed by the title

I see this chapter as an absolute success. Awful taste, great execution. Messy concept, stellar craftwork.

Aya's choices today? Awkward but legit good girlfriend choices.

The secret was wrong, like only fair if Mitsuki blows up or goes into a fugue thinking about it. Though we do not have enough good examples of Mitsuki's trauma. This was handling fallout pretty good though.

Aya stood up for herself and the relationship. She dropped 3 pages of clear communication and facts - which are done worse in many romance stories that aren't dripfed on social media. She gently pushed aside a kiss-deflection and other tactics. She forced a feeling of crisis on Mitsuki if she can't get her shit together. Which didn't entertain Mitsuki's excuses to the point of extra Aya burnout.

However the plot deals with it, Mitsuki needs help. Her trauma comes off as abstract and basic stereotypes rather than scars of being emotionally flayed alive live-on-stage... But I trust the plot and Aya this chapter that it's severe. It did remove the common cultural interests of the couple. I can suspend disbelief and treat it realistically. And the only way to solve work through it starts with Mitsuki leaving her comfort zone. Good on Aya here.

Am I the only one on Mitsuki's side are you guys forgetting Aya is helping Shu with her leg problem through music and Shu didn't even ask to she was dragged along BY AYA but MITSUKI has to be the one to open up about her problems

I for one hope it gets even more objectionable so that the people who come back chapter after chapter to whinge and complain eventually drop the series so that the discussion forums aren't cluttered with people talking about how much they hate what's happening whilst continuing to read it.

Finally we get back to this plotline! I didn't mind that Mitsuki was avoiding talking about it for so many chapters, but this whole time we never got a glimpse of how Aya thinks about it even though it's obviously the kind of thing that would be on her mind. I was honestly worried it was just going to be a dropped storyline.

Hopefully Mitsuki can open up at least a little bit, they oughta be happy together!

The author has been setting it up since the beginning of this arc. While some chapters were still cozy, it was obvious from the others that Mitsuki’s trauma was putting a strain on their emotional closeness. She was also shown using physical intimacy to defuse the tension during those moments, even though that only serves as a temporary delay mechanism.

The problems were piling up - for example, they went to different parties because Aya feels like she can’t even bring up the subject. The issue becomes even bigger because of the large role music played in forming their relationship. And yet again, Mitsuki is trying to distract Aya with sex to avoid confrontation. Aya had to put her foot down at some point, and we've reached that point.

While we are not at the level of breakup, this is a genuine issue, and if Aya doesn't stop avoiding communicating, it may end up breaking them apart.

Yeah it's not just this chapter, it's the whole arc that feels weak in my opinion. I just don't understand how it got to that point, every single decision that leads to a worse state doesn't feel like what they would have done previously, so I find it very confusing.
