If your complaint about anything in this manga involves some variation of the phrase “it has been months” please either wait for the volumes to release or shut up.
It’s really tiring seeing you complain every week as if you’re not aware that you’re getting four pages a week for free and not a full serialisation sized chapter. It’s been this way from the start, if you can’t keep that simple fact in your head maybe read something else.
I was thinking about this some more after the last chapter, and I think it's kind of a valid point, but I also think it's... not so much at the same time? On the one hand the release schedule definitely does make the wait painful and makes it much easier to get annoyed at the cadence of the series...
... but on the other hand, as someone else mentioned, the last 20 chapters have jumped around a ton, and that's when it really crystallized for me - I don't think this would feel any less rushed and strange as part of a volume release because each scene is still only going to be 4 pages long. From one chapter to the next there's often not a lot of continuity, with the time / location / entire point of each chapter often changing radically, and I think the dissatisfaction that stems from that would still remain.
Anyway at least they talked briefly rather than just cut away completely. There's that, I guess.
The 4-page format was perfectly fine at first, but it really does not work for more dramatic storytelling. Everything post-timeskip has been very severely limited by it.
Basically this is where I'm at.
Even were it combined into a volume the 4-page chapters would feel super weird at this point, I think, the amount they change scene and topic.
