Years later when Aya and Mitsuki are living in the states that scene turns into them drinking wine and telling embarrassing stories about their other halves while Joe and Mitsuki are in Joe's garage talking about guitars and amps and playing records and drinking beer.
nah, it'll be Aya talking to whoever Aki happens to be dating 😆

I think people are complaining that there was "no resolution" because they saw the previous arc as being this absolute foundation-destroying event sure to leave the protagonists adrift in Blue Yuri, and only an absolute miracle could repair that, and they're not seeing a dramatic miracle, so surely it's unresolved.

Whereas in reality, it was never that intense a thing. It was a relationship speedbump as happens in relationships from time to time, and after some event that puts things in perspective, they start moving again and it's fine. There was a resolution to the actual problem, just not the imagined one of the comments section.

Yeah no...

People are complaining simply because it wasn't just a short or simple disagreement or even argument. It was practically an entire arc.

You can try to downplay the severity of it or even make appear as mundane and a simple thing that couples go through, but it matters not when the story itself and the characters involved treated it as though it was a foundation-destroying event. So when you have the story treat an event with such intensity, some people rightfully expect an equal amount of time and effort put into the reconciliation.

To try an end a dramatic arc with a flash of comedy to let bygones be bygones is a cheap and sad resolution, hence why people are complaining. Hell 3-4 additional chapters worth of proper discussion and airing out grievances could've done wonders. Now if you and others are satisfied with how things had went, then that's cool. Others aren't, plain as simple.
