Yeah... When this manga started, I was happy, looking forward to see more focus on their relationship. That's what I want to see. I was hoping we'd be getting something more "explicit" than the anime. I don't mean NSFW, just them acknowledging it, showing it. The anime was in the end unfortunately a bit too hush-hush, thanks to executive meddling

But from what it looks like so far, they might just not do the relationship at all? I must admit, I don't care at all about the sports...

Well, I think the creators know the people are here for Sulemio so we'll definitely still see plenty of precious moments. It's just that they now have an easy way to pad their chapters with filler material so the relationship doesn't actually have to develop. Either that or it develops at a snail's pace. They'll throw us a bone at least once every couple chapters, juuuust enough to keep us reading and buying the collected volumes. 😅

This, sadly, has barely begun. The story pace is fine for the school friendships and romance that made this manga exist, and the flatter genre lets those stand out. For release pacing, this is unlikely to get canned but I feel like the biggest target audience is advertising Gundam can do more than tease queerness. Picking the bones of the series is second. Both will take years and big payoffs can be timed for other project announcements.

Not that it doesn't work. Compared to the original series, this is blunt, with simpler characterization of the main trio. Suletta is less scarred. Miorine has lower walls. Ariel and Ericht and coven details are reshuffled but in practice the big difference is the brat being vocal at all. I trust yuri eventually. Eventually.

Too bad I'm not responsible enough to ignore this manga for years.
