Yeah, him silently threatening the two adults while she naively looks forward to christmas really does show how the story so far is going and has been. She is wayyyy in over her head, and he's the only reason shit hasn't gone completely off the rails for her at this point.

Anyway, I can totally see where her obsession with having parents, specifically her mother, came from. One never grows through tough childhoods unaffected, huh?
