Happy ending but the ending could have been great
Not so satisfying

Somehow this ending is kinda different from the ending I read 10 years ago or so. Maybe what I read back then was the original while this one here is a revised version from a newer edition. In any case, this is a better ending. I remember in the ending I read back then Kasuga was a bigger coward and couldn't take any decisions until Hikari basically dumped him and pushed him towards Ayukawa. That was pretty lame a left me butthurt for a whole decade. lol Fortunately this newer version is a little different. Kasuga here does take a decision on his own before Hikari dumps him. That's nice. The movie adaptation is still better though, but at least this version of the manga is better than the original.

Sorry to answer to an old comment but this is the first time i ear of such an ending.
I suppose you confused it with another manga. But if that's not it, i would assume someone completely changed it. Not even the anime did anything like this.
I know some manga got in the hands of some shitty editor that made a mess of them. Changing dialogs and sometime even entire pages.
