I wouldn't say that the early chapters scanlated by this team are very accurate. From what I could make of the original raws, the cause of her lifespan increasing is, more specifically than romance, whenever her heart beats fast as a result of feeling flustered (which is why they translated it to romance), literally ときめく、the fast beating of one's heart.
