5 years ago, 2018, people would try and include people and not judge them before they met them. But then it became okay to pre-judge certain people and assume the worst of them, as long as it was the right type of person.

And that list grew and grew and grew and to everyone on the outside of their social media bubble, this “pre-judging” of certain people turned out to just be good ol’ bigotry but you’ve spent 5 years spreading this pre-judging, you need safe spaces from these monsters. You can’t have certain types of people getting near other people, they would be horrible because “pre-judging” says they will be evil, so segregation is justified because they will be evil of course. oh well, let’s just continue this hate on loop for 5 years and scroll through 1000’s of posts from people stuck in the same loop you are. Only taking an information that fits the narrative that you want. Only seeing the world in the way you want.

Fast-forward a couple more years suddenly violence is way more advocated, because these certain people have been deemed “evil”. Now if you point out it’s made up of individuals who don’t all have echo chambers, you get thrown into the group of certain people and get “Pre-judged”. And anything you say or do will be made into some kind of attack against another person. And they pre judged you so much, they will lie and do anything they can to make sure you get punished because it’s what you deserve. It’s justified, because you’re “evil” and all one giant group with one mind, who just want to be evil.

When people have been raised thinking it’s okay to “pre-judge” certain types of people on things they can’t change, it’s just going to spread because it’s hate. But when you cover up it’s hate, and pretend it’s justified, that’s when you become the cartoonish interpretation of evil you so willingly slap on others.

No it’s different. Because of social media. because you used to be able to speak and be judged by your actions. But now almost every comment that goes against the grain is removed, and not only is it removed. The person is muted and shadow banned so they don’t even know it’s removed, and they are just removed from the conversation forever, because they have been deemed evil.

Social media is a new thing, we intake information faster than a human could speak it out loud, people are looking at thousands of filled posts a day. A thousand is low, they are swiping every few seconds for the whole fucking day. They are past 1000 by lunch.

Like that’s so fucking insane. Now combine that with algorithms that will only show you exactly what you want to believe. And people aren’t able to resist being influenced. Normally, that doesn’t matter because you’re only interacting with a small handful of people in a day anyway. But normal isn’t normal anymore. Now people are fine pre judging others based on skin colour, occupation, whatever, and feel 100% justified doing so, and you literally can’t even say “hey that’s racist” because your comment gets removed, you get called racist, and they just hate more. And you just weep looking at society just doing another fucking flip from one extreme to another again and again.

But you could still get out back then, you could still buy talking to other people or by seeing the world, and actually being influenced. By reality you can change your opinions you can become a better person. But that’s not possible when you learn reality through your phone screen. Then you’re just gonna be a hate filled monster forever.
