I feel for Kurusu - but I'm glad to see it appears she's not going to be catty or vindictive here. She might never get Mitsuki, because Mitsuki's heart belongs to someone else - but Kurusu will hopefully be okay, given time to grieve.
And it would seem someone else is on her periphery who might be able to step in and help her heal, so.

Yuka quietly crying hearing Mitsuki's words around the corner was its own little bit of a heart-wrench moment. I hope the next chapter is their time together, following Kurusu's departure.

I am a little confused about the opening of the chapter. Mitsuki was clearly dreaming about kissing Yuka, but I'm not sure what she's referencing in the "why did I say that".

part of me thinks it's her wondering why she said what she said in that dream - because referring to the end of the previous chapter with the long hug, where Yuka said "I'm sorry that [this hug] is all I can do for you" and Mitsuki responds "that's not true at all"...doesn't quite make sense to me, either.

And if it's the dream she's referring to, it could just be "why is my subconscious acting like this", type thing.

That's a good point! I find it strange to say "why did I say that" about a dream so maybe that's where my confusion is coming from.

Nah girl, you’re just gay!

I love these girls. All of them. I mean not the catty cliquey ones, but our main group (who we sometimes can’t tell apart). They’re so good. Kusuru knowing she’s fallen in love, but knows she can‘t compete with Yuka so she doesn’t even confess, just quietly withdraws. No pointless drama caused. Just real, mature decision making.

I appreciate her awareness and that her love for both of them means she genuinely wants their happiness. I wonder what role she'll play now, along with that mention of her father. Yuka was also so sweet there, hiding behind the corner, crying, but enough has been said about how gentle and heartfelt their relationship is. Mitsuki knew she was there, so everything she said was for Yuka's ears.

I think it show's Kurusu's maturity - which is a great quality to have in the council president, just on its own.
I think she'll be fine - in that one chapter that showed all the potential "side character pairings", her VP Shion seemed oddly attentive and perceptive of Prez's mood and lack of focus at that time.
So.



I do think she'll be instrumental in helping Mitsuki "clear her name/reclaim her cred" among the student body, though. Whatever her feelings over her unrequited love, I don't think she'll get petty and get in the way of that; Kurusu just doesn't strike me as that kind of person.
And since her dad is the president (I'm assuming of the school), she'll do what she can to convince him that Mitsuki is innocent of what she's been accused of, and hopefully will help with any less-than-charitable image she's gained among the townspeople (since I'm sure the shop owner is still pissy at her, going by this chapter).
