Your second claim is totally wrong which shows you don't know what you're talking about at all . he had no problem with hiroshi dating their childhood friend who wasn't a self centered, selfish mess. Hiroshi's childhood friend would realise that baseball is really important to hiroshi and would try to help and encourage him to recover but instead the main character doesn't care about that at all and wants to stop hiroshi playing baseball.

I don't agree, he said the wrong things this chapter but he's always been worried about Hiroshi and has confronted him about his injury a couple times. He constantly told Hiroshi to get rest, but he just never listened. Hiroshi even regrets this.

Ochi isn't trying to control him either. He just sees Kanae for what she is. She's extremely toxic and can't be trusted (notice how she doesn't clarify that he never hit her). He never had a problem with Hiroshi's other girlfriends, and he's still friends with Nana. Meanwhile, Kanae sees Hiroshi's injury as a positive, since that means he can't play. She was even smiling when Hiroshi was screaming in pain from his shoulder.

Tl;dr: Ochi is bad at communicating but genuinely cares for Hiroshi. He isn't controlling him, he just rightfully doesn't trust Kanae.

It's a flashback to chapter 56. It's supposed to show how two-faced she is because she was menacing and confrontational when it was just her and Ochi but now she's crying and scared now that Hiroshi's here.

edit: like theres been multiple flashbacks that show ochi clearly resents hiroshi for being better than him. every single time hiroshi gets attention for being good, ochi is just standing there all angsty n jealous. hiroshi only ever played because he thinks its fun, but ochis internal dialogue has consistently been like "if youre so good at the game, you should take it more seriously" bc hes mad hiroshi doesnt deify it the way he does
