Icing on the cake, besides focusing on hair(styles), would be if it doesn't come down to your everyday romcom. I think approaching something like this from a non-romantic angle, like simple fascination/curiosity would be much more interesting (for me personally at least). Maybe coupled with something coming of age?
In any case, I'm looking forward to see which direction this goes...

Bit more complicated. The original oneshot Summer, Baseball, & Your Hair won a Chiba Tetsuya award. It was then reworked into Since I'm Interested In Your Hair and posted as a competitor in Young Magazine's ‘get the most likes on X and you'll get serialized’ competition, and it got 37K likes, and thus it's been serialized. On COMIC DAYS, rather than Young Magazine Web, tho. I wonder how they determine what goes where. Things are published on both rather frequently too.
