I wish the paneling had been more explicit right after she put the freshly killed "other" in the bathtub. Because, it's either:
(a) She immediately poured the caustic soda to dissolve the body, necessitating the creation of a new body, which is logically implied by the whole "sea of bodies" vision,

OR

(b) The corpse was floating there, untouched, to be "resurrected" later, which is probably not what the mangaka had in mind.
Am I being finicky? Yes, I am. Right now, we are in mind-bending country and being finicky is but a visa requirement.
