I'm gonna say that I like everything about this chapter except that Asahi doesn't get scolded for running off on his own, but given how his mom is not in the best health/mindset, I'll let it slide.
Other than that, I love how MC spoils her and supports her both literally and metaphorically in the chapter, and how she does the same even though he has to tell her he's quitting his part time job to go study. I also love Asahi's reaction, as the two of them actually share a solid connection to one another. I think she is starting to fall for him and see how dependable he is, and when she spoils him back, it only strengthens their connection to one another.
I really do hope they end up together (they probably will given the genre) because I think that this is one of the best love stories so far. It has no unnecessary love triangles or rivals, but completely natural conflicts and understandable developments from them. It's about a college kid and a single mother and the trials the two would naturally come into odds within a relationship, and I think that's the best part of the story.
