I still don't understand how this all started... He breaks her out of prison and is jailed for it, but no one ever mentions she's literally third princess of the enemy. Did the author manufacture that identity after the fact? You'd think for such a high profile target, shit would have been a whole lot more real, and she would have been a lot more secured. You can't even really argue that the empire didn't know who she was, since their machinery can apparently figure out her identity immediately.
