Considering the dude had to make a working game, that's not a total embarrassment, in a week, while still going to school normally at the same time, I'd say it's no wonder he fell asleep. He must have been reducing heavily from his normal sleeping habits. It would have been impossible without using something like the RPG Maker, or however it was called in this series, unless he made some kind of extremely simple game, but even so it must have been quite a lot of work.
