He was again almost gonna go into his depression state and give up on love. Good thing nina arrived on time and he was able to regain his senses and confess his love.
ALso thank God none of the cliche "i couldnt hear you " bs under the fireworks and both parties giving up. It was actually a rare perfect fireworks confession followed by a good followup of them continuing their date normally hand in hand.
Also she gives marin energy with that reaction loved it. :3
