Yeah I know 2 people IRL who stream as vtubers, and they've both told me independently of each other that the other streamers in the scene can be just as psychotic as the viewers. Apparently it's not uncommon for indies to approach much smaller vtubers in the scene in very creepy ways. I didn't get any specifics there, but I have seen some of the shit their viewers have said, and if other streamers can be as bad as that, then that's fucked.

On another note, why are so many mangaka incapable of doing foreshadowing without just rushing it and shoving it in your face? They introduce the stalker guy by him getting pissed about presumably another streamer having a boyfriend, gets introduced as an unhinged fan with entitlement issues, and then suddenly Nina starts an unscheduled stream, all within the space of 1 chapter (plus 1 page in the last one to introduce captain fuckstick). Hmmm, I wonder what's gonna happen there?

To be a predator, being a vtuber is better than being a fan. You can get close to another vtubers using "work related" reasons. Much easier than spending money to be a top 10 donator as a fan to get noticed.

Vtuber usually more open to other vtubers than to their fans for work related reasons. Then once you get targeted vtuber real identity, you can use it to blackmail them. So yeah, now deranged individuals rushed to be a vtubers.

On another note, I think this manga author got rushed to end the series and given generous limited chapters to finish it in a good way, albeit a bit rushed. Other axed mangas ended in more tragic ending. Also, her father basically got forgotten hahaha.
