i've seen it before in watamote but wild that they have factories specifically to place a strawb on cakes versus bakeries that are homemade but makes sense for like supermarket/grocery store places but i can imagine some ppl enjoying the repetition/if they're allowed to bring in headphones and such (altho it'd be nice if they got to take home the leftovers/bruised ones not good enough to be placed), as long as i get breaks i would prefer doing this over being a cashier at conbini with 'difficult' customers like they show in Nietzsche-san lol

Dang the breakdowns (legality aside i wonder if they could get some homeless ppl to do it as some kinda charity/tax write off and pay them a smaller fee and let them get some free cakes at the end)
