No this originally did have a proper translation..... It wasn't completed but it was pretty good....

And it really was on mangadex.... Which is why so many people bookmarked the series...

Though for some reason the translator seem to have removed their translation....
MangaDex removed it and banned that guy because apparently they have a no-MTL rule. But they've allowed MTLs for other manga so it's enforced inconsistenly. :pepehmm:

MD doesn't ban ppl just for using MTL, they ban ppl who use programs that OCR, TL, RD and TS automatically. If for whatever reason folks want to read a garbage "translation," using the same raws and the same program & you'll get the same thing every time (minus hallucinations.) the site does not value archiving these uploads, as they are the result of a mechanical process

All his TLs were posted on r/manga. Thousands read them and they felt natural. No one said they looked like gibberish.

MTL does just fine at outputting grammatical english text, the issue is that it's not accurate, which isn't something readers will be aware of bc if they could read JP they'd read JP. In this case it made up an accent out of nowhere and was wildly inaccurate, but that's not clear without being able to understand the original text.

Fine, but that MTL was still way better than no TL. And didn't you say MangaDex allows it?

A 1/5 scan being better than nothing does not mean we should accept 1/5.

As I've said before, MD allows MTL but not full auto MTL (entire scanlation process automated from start to finish with no human input needed) The deleted chapters were full auto MTL, which is bad for the reasons I described in my previous post. MD does not police quality on their site because they want to aggregate as many scans as possible. Their decision to exclude full auto MTL uploads is an acknowledgement on their part that they are not worth preserving, and cannot be considered scans in the same way that humans generated scanlations are.

If you accept/normalize spam full auto MTL, at some point it'll be what you're stuck with.

And like I said, I could've scanned this manga sooner without the complication of the previous "scan." I can't blame my peers for not wanting to work on a comic that's been "translated" before, considering the series potential is stunted by the prior scans, and the readers who would benefit from the scan wont realize theres a real TL out, or not look into it properly because they've already got it marked as completed. Just the way it is, sadly
