Yae's quite the character. He's dumb, brutish, delusional, pervy, petty, bitter, and he's got some nerve to keep stabbing his friend in the back while wearing a big fake smile. Koushi-sensei must've put a lot of sadistic effort into designing such a dirtbag, only to have him destroyed already.Author… pls take your meds if you are attached to Yae
Reminds me of how the Kagurabachi author said his favorite character was SojoAuthor… pls take your meds if you are attached to Yae
… ok but on a serious note, writers really can love some weird characters they make…
How ominous, I felt things have gone at a good pace overall, we see the problems, we see her fighting and what she is fighting for, we get more insight on how and why she is fighting, little by little it feels like the story is coming together but all at once, I don't feel "slave" to the next big twist or cliffhanger, I mean obviously I want to know what comes after and the author does teases misteries everytime, but it doesn't feel like LOST, something built upon mistery boxes.>Volume 3 finally feels like the real story's beginning
I don't think they're attached in the way a fan would like a character. I think as the author, they liked how easy it was to understand what Yae would do and how fun it must have been to think up of his twisted mentality.Author… pls take your meds if you are attached to Yae

(admittedly Sojo was great)
Feels more like writers are proud of their creations, which I might say is true.I don't think they're attached in the way a fan would like a character. The creator of Stardew Valley also said their favorite character was the evil mayor, so I think many authors like creating villains.
I think it's also worth considering that mangakas aren't just writers. They spend 90% of their time drawing and that's going to change how they view their characters. Some characters just naturally give more freedom for what they can or can't depict.Feels more like writers are proud of their creations, which I might say is true.
Yae is someone without sympathetic past, complete human nature, sadistic behaviour, making him completly hateable to audiance, done completely right.
Koushi sensei must have put some thought behind it, just to be gone in couple of chapters.
Still… keeping him longer would have made the story suffer, as he is not the main villain, and not even a smart one, cause no one wants to see mc fight a puppet for 100s of chapter.
