I've mentioned it before but if the mastermind is just alternate Yotsuha I'm dropping this manga. It's a purely unimaginative and boring plot twist, it would be more of a twist if it was someone else at this point, since the audience is already being led to believe an alternate her is the one. I can think of very few situations where that twist can be made interesting.

I'm guessing that it's a character that hasn't been introduced yet, if the author has any creativity it is at least, and the twist might be that it's someone who has it out not for Uichi but for Yotsuha. It's gotta be someone who already knows Yotsuha is doing what she's doing, so maybe someone else with a watch or someone who ended up with hers somehow. They're trying to get to get through Uichi, maybe trying to make her break.

The legit traumatized guy is still more assertive than the average Japanese MC, what a world.

That's what I like about unconventional characters, they tend to produce less tropey stories.
Especially the part where he sees her all drenched. You think he'd get embarrassed or excited, just like any romcom MC, but instead he does a thoughtful thing and gives her some sweet warmth back. And after all the hugs he received there's no reason for him to be awkward, I guess.

You are right, no idea why poeple trying to spam shit as emotes. He is assertive becuase she is like 10 times more assertive, keeps telling him she loves him and even kisses him. Reassures him at every turn etc.

I highly doubt it would be that but I would still heavily prefer that since it's unexpected and can have interesting motivations behind why an alternate him would be behind it all.

There are just some tropes or plot twists that are played out, long gone beyond their expiration date, and "time travel story where the main villain is an alternate protagonist" is up there with "it was a dream the whole time"

Just to be different than everybody that keeps spouting that the mastermind is yotsuha every, freaking, chapter. I'm going with the more fun theory that the mastermind is Uichi and this is him doing it to himself to make yotsuha feel obligated to help him.

It's obviously Yotsuha. It's been obvious for 10 chapters now. Nothing in this manga so far has been unexpected so I don't expect an asspull for the final reveal.
