Guys... How do I tell you this... You haven't even seen how fucked up the dad can be yet.

Mom lost it and it's the one affecting uichi the most, but she never was bad or selfish until she went literally Bonkers and desperately needed someone, sis unironically only needed correct guidance, her problems started as a stupid teen, dad was a time bomb all along.

don't be afraid of yotsuha... She's an angel even if she makes scary faces.
Be prepared to hate the family a bit more, all of them.
Also be prepared to see uichi getting real character development.
Remember that uichi is a good boy, Don you think he would be happy if something bad happened to anyone in his family?
If the parents had acted immediately when they noticed a turn in her behavior, then maybe the sister could've been put back on the right path. Like, if the mom had immediately confiscated her phone & PC and gone through her communications to find the groomer/bad influence, then instituted parental controls and kept a watchful eye on her. So yeah, the sis could've been saved, but that's in the past.
She's her parents' daughter, that's for sure, and she seems to have inherited both of their worst personality traits, narcissism and dependence on others. Even in the latest incident, she was just trying to deflect constantly and making herself out to be a victim because of how "talentless" she is, and she only stopped once she was cornered; truly, a spineless, cowardly narcissist. Yeah, she was groomed to be that way, but that shit doesn't take hold so firmly without natural tendencies to serve as a starting point. Honestly, the fact that when confronted by Uichi, only the mom stood up, and of her own volition faced her failings, spoke volumes to me. She's awful, but not an unsalvageable monster, and both her and Uichi would be better off in the long run if the other two were cut out of their lives. Though that can't be forced, as we saw in Yotsuha's flashback. It has to come from Uichi and his mother, realizing there's nothing to save in the other two.

It would be interesting if he's actually a sociopath and he's trying to be a good person and father but due to lacking empathy and his extreme focus on this leading to him being unable to remember details about his wife and kids. Would be unique at least.

Shirodaddy but without the aura and 200% more of an enabler.

I feel sorry for everyone but the dad. Mom basically did nothing wrong and is only emotionally dependent on uichi because her husband is a retarded piece of shit that doesn't know what he's doing wrong, and her daughter was manipulated into hating her with no resistance because the rest of the family were either going insane or ignoring/enabling her. No idea why she doesn't interact with uichi though, her laziness and unwillingness to work for anything doesn't have anything to do with her brother, who isn't pushing any responsibility on her not has he implied that she should work for things at all.
The sister developed an inferiority complex cuz she saw Uichi had the drive to pursue his dreams of being a Vet while she "suffers" from lack of "talent to try hard".
She'll never initiate conversation with him cuz she finds him better than her.

The father's got a narcissistic personality.
He says and does things to make himself feel better. Which is expressed in his self validations of "what a good boy am i". In reality he lacks empathy, makes every situation about himself, and shows absolutely no real interest in his family except for those feelings of self validation.

He's absolute garbage.
Just like the others
I just want to know how someone so lacking in any interest in anything or anyone around himself got hitched.

In terms of redeemability, the mother is the most redeemable as she was pushed to the brink by the sister and father just like Uichi. Next is the sister, as she was manipulated by Clover into a certain mindset and then enabled by the father, so if she got a cold reality check she could come around. Finally is the father, he was not manipulated in any obvious way, what he does is literally baked into his DNA and is probably the most difficult to change. None of them are as bad as Yae though. I do want them all to come around, Uichi deserves an actual happy family and he obviously still cared about them all a lot. I wonder if Yotauha is going to kill them and that causes Uichi to kill himself again so THEN she tries to reform them instead. Or maybe she kills them for her own personal satisfaction knowing that she can just turn back time and help Uichi for real, showing how time travel has gotten to her head.
I do agree, some of them could be redeemed, but I think Yotsuha is hell bent on revenge that to her, they are all guilty in some way for Uichi's death.
So while it would be nice to see some them getting some help, revenge will most likely happen first, as tragic as that is.

Umm.... what the actual fuck is going on with his father. No matter how much of a "good father" he is, he can't be blind to all their suffering.

she probably confessed and he simply went with the flow from there, was a "good boyfriend" then once they dated long enough did the "appropriate thing" and proposed and just followed the "normal steps a normal person in a normal relationship" does to meet her and societys expectations

I'd take a parent who doesn't give a shit over one that's actively abusive anyday.

I still believe that the mom & sis are salvageable. The mom needs real mental help and support and the sis needs a reality check and reformation. Maybe she could become a game tester and meet people who actually teach her the merits of hard work and self improvement

The dad can bath in lemon & durian juice with salt scrubs in open wounds for all I care.

kinda feel, bad for the mom, she tried to help the daughter and the dad didn’t do shit, pretty much didn't have the time for helping her son. Not gonna defend her that much because she was toxic af too, but at least she was driven into a corner.
We know at least that the daughter got that stupidity from the Dad.

Honestly suprised at this point that the dad is just like that and was not manipulated by the clover person.
Thanks for the chapter!
probably tried but gave up for too much stupidity

So let me get this straight, he's meant to be a bad guy just because he keeps his family together and stays calm to support them rather than breaking down and going off the rails like all of them??

He did nothing wrong. He's a ˹good father˼.
He's definitely not. He's got that "toxic positivity" attitude, which enables bad behavior even if his intentions are stemming from a good place

Ok so my theory is he did it for the same reason my sister did: 2 parts expectation, 1 part likes the feeling of being useful to others. My sister has... idk 4 or 5? Kids. 1 is out of college, 1 is going into college, the third is pre teen, and I think she had 2 more since. She tends to be a bad mother and definitely likes bragging to others about her children but she's so emotionally uninvested in them that she never questions why her oldest daughters never speak to her.

By the way, said sister tried killing me multiple times growing up. Mostly for petty reasons. "You're taking mom and dad's attention away" was what she said when she managed to put a nice gouge in my forehead with a knife. Nevermind that it was normal things you'd expect of a mother like taking her kid to a theater rehearsal or an arts program so she could learn some additional skills. The fact that she wasn't being showered in their attention was enough reason to get rid of me.

I unfortunately understand this type very well... his reasons for having a family are quite shallow and very self centered in nature.
