Well, look at it this way. If brother is the mastermind, once he knew she had time travel, he might have assumed that if he said he wouldn't help her, she'd redo things until she could help Uichi anyway. He might prefer to keep her where he could keep an eye on her, and somewhat control her, like requesting no deaths.

Still, he sure does SEEM supportive, and if he wouldn't help her out of the hospital that would have been a huge hurdle to navigate.

The main adversary immediately concluding that it MUST be time travel as opposed to some kind of nervous tick tells me that they are another time-traveler, or that the author doesn't realize how contrived it would be for someone to jump to that conclusion.

We already know she's really sick, and only has a limited amount of time before she has to go into intensive treatment. Her original timeline had her recover successfully only to find Uichi dead
