Hm. This is leaning a bit into theory-crafting, but...

Taking into account how Uichi feels bad for the guy in chapter 4 despite how much he's suffered from his bullying, it's reasonable to assume he has a pretty strong sense of empathy. Then, considering Yotsuba's almost certainly gone through this time travel situation more than once, it's also reasonable to assume that she specifically planned out this incident so that the bully would survive. I know a couple of people here are a little disappointed the bully lived, but I feel like, considering how vengeful she seems, there's a very good chance that she probably already tried that, and it...didn't turn out so well for Uichi in the end. Likely, he started thinking "oh God if he hadn't talked to me there he'd be alive" or something along those lines. Yeah, it's an irrational line of thinking, but homeboy ain't in a good place, and straight-up watching someone he knows die would mentally fuck him up way further.

Alternatively, Yotsuba's still too morally good to kill off people like that—which seems less likely, in my opinion. She looks way too ready to fuck people's shit up imo.

But either way, that idea of "can't or refuses to kill them" makes this manga way more interesting to me. It's one thing to try and kill off everyone making Uichi's life miserable like a yandere does to her love rivals, but to try and manipulate your way to a pacifist ending, through blackmailing, gaslighting, and sabotage? That's going to be way harder, and way more fun to watch.
