Lol that's crazy. My dad is exactly like this. Pretty much never seems to listen because he clearly knows what's best. You know, after losing our house on a failed business, cheating on my mom, and getting me into literally scam level job opportunities.

I tell him to do something or that something he does bothers me, I can pretty much trust that he will forget tomorrow. It's not dementia, because he's always been like this lmao. Tried not to interact with him too much but it's really hard for some families to do that

Oof... this is accurate even down to the fact that my mom is attached to me because I'm pretty much the only one in the family who treats her like a human being. She recovered from some pretty serious cancer cuz of all the stress my dad was putting her through lol.

Im sorry, but the dad is just funny to me. From this chapter I can't even see him as evil or anything. Just funny as hell that he took those words and ran with it for what? A decade?
The other people I can see as real for the most part (making them hateable to me), but the dad just felt like an overly exaggerated caricature (so far).

This dad is a shit person. But not necessarily the most evil (atp from what i read anyway) The worst is just his delusion on being "good" or whatever it means. If he just.. get up and leave the family, it honestly might be better for all of them.

He is MARRIED to this family, the least he can do is try to attempt to help and fix their goddamn problems. If HE were a stranger, i would say i understand and it's within his right to do so, but otherwise.. he is part of the problem, that much is true.
