Thanks Mr2005. Me and my brother read this in one sitting in the middle of the night and it’s awesome. Translation is such a neat trade, and I’m glad I got to read this!

While I’m at it I’m going to note that as a pretty clear subversion of the “Savior” genre I hope the protagonist gains the ability to find hope in her own future. It’s a story with so much focus on mental health that I’d be pretty caught off guard if Yotsuha never got over her codependency with him. I hope they can both become people in their own right, even as they grow together.

I think the Tear Jerker Tv Tropes image would be the comparison between Uichi’s happy past and terrible present. Heartwarming would be Yotsuba and Uichi sleeping together. Nightmare fuel will be Yae killing Uichi or Eito and his goons strangling Uichi. Funny would be the faces of Uichi’s classmates when the hear Yae’s motivation (such blank faces for a serious matter)y
