Nope, it was axed. You could read his notes on the WNIt wasn't axed, it was another ad for the LN.
What made you think it was the author's decision? This story is sooo good I'm disappointed by author decision to cancel it. What a waste
No, for fucking real. If I wanted to read a novel, I would have started with the novel. I'm here reading manga because I like manga, not fucking novels. The mediums are too different for it to be just a simple "go read the novel instead." Same shit goes for the anime version of a series. It's not the same. The art isn't the same, a lot of content gets cut out, etc etc.I hate so much when they say "there is a novel so go read that" or when they use a manga to promote a novel... If i wanted to read a novel i would read it
I really liked the angle they where taking with this one, a bit too dramatic sometimes but still good
I took a quick look to see what kind of writing it would have ... but I'm unsure whether it's an issue or translation or the original writing of the novel, but there are sentences that don't really make sense, or are just written incorrectly, or are grammatically incorrect. For anyone looking, this picks up in the LN at chapter 64. Chapter 63 ends on the same note as this chapter does, then 64 and 65 are intermissions from the perspectives of other characters. Then 66 rolls right into the next arc.
Here's a link to it: https://sadstranslates.page/2020/06/27/forbidden-master-part-3-chapter-64/
The LN is up to 294 chapters translated, and is still being actively worked on.
Thank you for your time.
Surprised people are still finding this comment, but at the top of his site he says he "feeds to a machine translator and edits the hell out of the results!" so you know, errors come with that territory. But to his credit the weird grammar I think does get better as he's kept the series going... Or I've learned to read around it and just figure out what's happening myself without noticing. Either way, I haven't found another translation project for this one since then. /shrugI took a quick look to see what kind of writing it would have ... but I'm unsure whether it's an issue or translation or the original writing of the novel, but there are sentences that don't really make sense, or are just written incorrectly, or are grammatically incorrect.
