Okay, I kinda hate that princess. For one she can’t honestly believe he likes her win she has only ever fueled the toxic atmosphere around him and never done anything to help with it. She hasn’t even noticed his suffering and offered any comfort or praise. Why would he like her?! Also for god’s sake be clear in your intentions. If you like him just freaking tell him. Don’t make assumptions and then do a surprised Pikachu face when he had no idea what you were talking about. Does she think he is a freaking mind reader or something? None of his actions have suggested him seeing her as anything but a rival and/or the cause of all his problems. I will forever love this series if the MC goes full demon king, kills everyone in that kingdom, and just gets with the maid, because at this point everyone but THE LITERAL SADIST is beyond redemption. They have a collective mob mentality almost which makes it near impossible for them to become good individuals.

@TNT261 people, especially her age, aren't good at introspection. She's probably never thought about how she acts from his perspective. Plus with their conversation here, she was basically confirming how he felt about her, it's just that his thoughts about what she was saying were the furthest thing from what she was saying because he still views himself as inferior to her and that she couldn't possibly be attracted to him. Most likely he thinks the only reason she's around him at all is because of their childhood friendship and if not for that that she wouldn't spare him a second glance.
