So 5k of Shin and 3k of Kyokai which means that rest of the 22k reinforcements are just jobbers in case Hara needs a lot of people to die for the tension to go back up. The remaining core of the armies they started with will weather the storm and maybe some named characters will be injured or outright killed.
What's bad is that he looks similar to Gakurai so it's almost like he never died so that makes his death feel cheap.
Might be Ousen's contingency since we know he doesn't win but I think the point of the battle is to kill off enough Zhao soldiers so that Zhao would actually have a difficult time to recoup the losses since they have spent too much manpower on wars with Qin. Despite the fact that Reebok and SBS won the war for the king, he'll have to 'award them' again like he did with Riboku except this time they became far too successful and the king would be susceptible to Ousen's spies. Youka who is a Riboku loyalist will actually betray him by being blackmailed by Ousen which would lead to Reebok's fall from grace and execution.
