Rereading this, I forgot how frustrating Riboku as an antagonist is sometimes. He always seems to have this omniscient knowledge for how to deal with the Qin. One might say his flaw is similar to that of Sosuke Aizen, where his intellect is used as a crutch by the author to explain away certain plot developments. If Riboku had a few chapters dedicated to his backstory, like Sei and Shika, which would explain his talent and rise as a general, I think I could appreciate his character more.
