I knew they would still send the supplies via river, but thought they would just go in a roundabout way on the southern side of the river and then cross directly, so I wasn't expecting a direct aid from another kingdom. That just shows that in war diplomacy is just as important as military might. Kingdom really is great at showing strategy and tactics.

Praise the Snek! Although I wonder if he's so smart in aiding Qin whose aims to take Qi as well isn't exactly secret. Of course he can always use the extra money to buy so much more mercenaries or anything else for his advantage, but still.

Obviously, if Qin tried to send food through either land or river, Zhao would definitely interfere. So the only other solution is outside help. The Mountain people are cut off, so outside help must come from the other states. And the most likely state to help is obviously Qi, since Yan is busy with Zhao's eastern defenders and Qin have already fucked up their relationship with everybody else in some way.
