@razxiko My only source is Wikipedia, so it isn't 100% reliable, but it says something similar did happen. There was a King Daoxiang who died in the middle of Qin invasion on Zhao, and he was succeeded by King Youmiu who was the younger son, but got the throne due to the intervention of his mother.
