Is it just me, or is the story taking a downwards plunge? As in, the quality is going down? I mean, it's cool and all, but it goes from a guy helping find wannabe criminals through their idiocy online, then immediately shifts to some big-wig cyber criminal that can operate whole torture systems and even has the police committing crimes to get rid of the MC.

@Bluubuckets I think the writer wanted to change the story little because it would get kind of boring if most of the manage focused on catching petty criminals.Im not the author but that's my theory

Laughing cat and valkryie where introduced way in the beginning and makes sense, they have a overlooping main story, a most series have to do evidently because as fun as "monster of the week" is it gets boring evidently.@Bluubuckets
Also am glad this experience is giving both of them character growth though I'm disappointed kousake isn't suffering some PTSD from the situation or probably he is and we get some insight later.

The general story arc has been obvious from the beginning and they have detailed where it would go every step of the way. It isn't a stupid just every week we find a bad guy series, it's a general story about how he slowly gets into the industry and ramps up who his targets are, including police corruption. Suggesting that this was some immediate shift is ignoring everything about the story so far.

Ok so they are framing him to remove Koreeda's primary backer, that much is obvious, so why make it the final chapter page?

@Doomroar because that is a normal writing technique to keep readers interested and hyped to pick up the next volume? On TV they do it all the time, finishing the episode on a cliffhanger. "What will happen next! Stay tuned!"

It's a series made for volume reading and sales, they typically finish arcs on a note like this to get you to buy the next volume.
