I was joking about blue Yuri earlier but jokes aside , why does it feel like we went 3 steps back. What happened to Mitsuki's album, why doesn't she speak out or say something to the band wasn't that like an arc or chapter that she learned this lesson? The fade of green definitely gives blue Yuri vibes. Calling it now Mitsuki is gonna blame aya for missing her opportunity but in that oops slip of the tongue didn't mean it kinda way and aya leaves or the other way around were aya blames herself for Mitsuki missing her opportunity. I'm for drama but we only get 1 page a month and 3 if we're lucky.

this is so dumb. you'd be hard pressed go find a musician who's never played in a group they weren't a huge fan or took on a project they were lukewarm on but the whole point is that you enjoy making music and use it as a learning experience. you can't make good art if you just play the same thing over and over forever. it doesn't have to be some life-changing event it can just be "yeah they needed a guitarist so I played with them. it was neat".

I think the compounding issue is that Mitsuki has attempted to play with multiple bands before, but each time there was something wrong with them (ch148). So now she's finally in a band that's actually making music, but they're stifling her role as the guitarist because she's too much for their 'feel good have fun' vibe.

I assume she just doesn't want to go through the effort of finding yet another band, and is sticking to this one because she's able to make music (which is what she believes she wants), but doesn't want Aya to see her because it's not her playing at her best for the sake of the band.

At least, that's how I interpret it? Idk feel free to put me on blast for wasting time writing this lol.

They're college students, barely even adults. I don't see why everyone finds the drama so ridiculous when to me this kind of creative existential "crisis" feels very fitting for an artist in that stage of her life. Maybe its because I've dated and been friends with this type of musician but its so normal to me.

Got to say the last few chapters have been fire started to flow together and tell a story I'm truly fested in. There were a few chapters where they were going through the time skip that felt kind of jarring, but still one of my top 5 yuri's great work.

yea but not every musician have to be the same... and what is even good art? as an artist myself, the only good art is what feeds my soul. what im saying is one can play the same thing over and over and that is their art, it isnt about good or bad art. but thats up to the artist, to mitsuki what their art is. it can be boring and unskilled to you, or it can be love by a few or love by many, ugly or hated, or just you and with your soul's coversation.

Honestly, this feels like an intense character regression, which happened a couple of times already (just not as intense). This is just her crumbling under social anxiety, once more, and I'm done.

It's an arc that repeated several times already, stress for some dumb shit that's easy to fix > shut down emotionally > girlfriend easily fixes the problem.

If I were Aya, I'd be so tired bro.

They probably don't sound bad, its more likely that she already feels like she doesn't fit the vibe of their band, and they are targeting and focusing more on their social media perception and image than their musicianship.

Like, a chapter or so ago they were saying they wanted to go viral, and when they did in the same breath as reassuring Koga they wanted her there because she's got the "cool girl" look, they cut her solo to make the song shorter? While saying that people need to "hear the song", kind of implying that her being highlighted wouldn't be considered an important part of the song?? Their priorities are different, and it's honestly just a good discussion on the whole about the tiktokification of music and what that does to musicians.
