I have always loved the sentimentality of Kinnikuman. Kinnikuman II doesn't have that vibe in the very few volumes I've bought, so I was never that into the sequel. This is just another example of cheesy story that I loved completely. Kinniku Buster deserves the sentiment.

My problem with Nisei was that it tried to be like the original, but it didn't have the same soul. Also, a lot of false information was claimed about the old generation, which was very annoying. The story could also be told without claiming that Robin, Geronimo, Buffaloman and the others all went to school together, from curryman to phoenix were all bad guys in one organization or there was a big war with the Akuma Shogun in every generation since centuries.

I love these flashbacks chapters, they add so much to the setting and characters to a point where i wish they were there before, i will give Kinnikuman this, the 2011 revival is just excellent and honestly goes a long way to fix some gaps and flaws of the past while giving us new stuff, this chapter is just one of them.

Always glad to see more Prince Kamehame.

This really was a nice chapter and I do look forward to the new animated series. I wonder if it will pick up at the True Perfect Chojin arc and go from there.
