This is wonderful. Started reading with low expectations but the first chapter hooked me instantly. The writing feels a lot more mature than that of most other manga I've read. I don't mean that it's dark, edgy or erotically "adult". It isn't any of those (rather juvenile) things. Instead, it's genuinely grown-up: relaxed, gentle and wry. Love the relationship between the two leads, especially the arrogant silliness that he imagines makes him seem cool. I've just started reading, so I won't go on, but the first few chapters are an easy 10/10.

Does anyone have any idea what the release schedule for this manga is? I really like the series and its vibe but there's been like 6 new chapters in the past 2 years. Is it a result of the actual manga being released infrequently or simply a matter of the scanlation? It just seems strange for a manga that started over 4 years ago to only have a dozen chapters

It was serialized in Harta, which publishes 10 issues per year, so it did come out rather slowly. But the fourth and final tankoubon volume was released in 2022, so it looks like the scanlation is slower still. Right now, we're still only 1/3 of the way through. On the upside, we've still got 2/3 to anticipate
