and to be fair he was getting gold ore/gems and other goodies, so he is basically MacGyver beating a black dungeon with nothing but a lighter, hammer and can of propellent! oh yah this mans dog was the alarm what a G, lol.
To explain magic ore again, which I'm going to put in spoilers since they might still introduce the character that explains how they work later, it dyes their mana black but boost specific physical abilities at a low ratio rather than let them use any spells, excluding the transformations he got from king or lord rank magic ores. The amount is small enough that you could make the difference with training/exercise but it's a percent boost so it would mean more for someone already well trained. Once the wall isn't an issue (you're comfortably able to beat B rank monsters) seekers can focus primarily on their element and dye some of their mana black with ore that gives useful boosts (specific ore boost different physical traits, they come in copper, iron, etc). This is only something they would consider after research is started up on it again and people actually know this stuff, but since they're severely limited right now, they can't do that sorta thing.
