i can't rly imagine anyone when i was that age making lunch/a 'bento' for someone else unless they had like a single parent or passionate enough about cooking to prep lunch like that even if making a bento for your friends/partner is more common in Japan, tho i guess that's more so b/c it's not like we rly learned any cooking classes/that kinda stuff was something optional you had to sign up for (but understandable why you wouldn't wanna trust american teens with a knife lol)
