I like how the author shows how systemic hatred towards a group (in this case black magic) doesn't openly bias most people as individuals, especially if they're educated (in the 'receptive to new information' way, not the book-smarts way).
Most people are not bigots when unaffected by deindividualization or similar 'group-think' phenomena.
