There is so much tomfoolery that happend wothout either twin realizing. One has no magic, treated as a political tool to a price who could care less about her. The other had magic, but was treated like she was the scum of the earth.

I do wonder how the other twin is doing, realizing that she is still being treated like a tool and have no magic to cast spells anymore. Heck, she probably assume that her sister has the same affinity to cast spells she can.

Its like the grass isnt always greener on the other side. Both twins swap places.

Nah, they're just going to find happiness in their lives instead.

While it's not something started by the two, Marietta wanting to talk to Claudette is definitely a factor in Dee's decision to travel to Jilvara as peace envoy (in case people forgor, Dee's nation and Jilvara are enemies atm)

The conversation (only Marietta/Melvi on one side and Claudette/holy dragon on the other, as the husbandos are off to have that official peace talk) boils down into apologies-off and both agreeing they like their current lives.
Iirc its only when actually having completed the scheme that Claudette learns that Mariette was as much an abused prisoner as Claudette, for much longer since they're like, 8 when Mariette goes to Jilvera and 18 when Claudette's Revenge happens. and legitimately the Demon of Snewe was a good mom to Claudette. its just, you know, trying to turn a child who has been abused all their life by authority into your personal weapon is a recipe for homicide
the actual stupidity is they knew Mariette was going to be shipped off, so there really was no reason for the conflict, her claim was going to be invalidated anyway. or more accurately Claudette's since as the one with magic she is the obligate sacrificial royal.

I understand the idea of keeping a spare royalty in case anything happens, but I don't get why they have to be so cruel about it. Why not put her in some mansion out in the boonies? Honestly, that's a story I'd read.

FMC is a the lonely tomboy adventurer noble who grew up in the far countryside near endless forests, frozen mountains and locales filled with monsters. One day, the royal family arrived and it's revealed that her sister is the princess but is currently cursed into a coma, so they need her to take her place until they can break the curse. Cue hijinks of her trying to fit in, act as her prim-and-proper princess sister while making sure all unrelated parties don't figure out her real identity (and maybe the betrothed prince-fiancee who was originally partnered with the princess as part of a political marriage ends up falling in true love with the twin tomboy disguised sister).
Please tell me that's an actual manga plot, and what it's name is so I can read it.
