Why does it feel like a chapter or three is missing before this chapter. Chapter 1 has the kd being overweight and struggling with his bad reputation. Chapter 2 he has already slimmed down and recovered enough of his standing to be invited back to the main house and cooking up some dietary plan from his father's knights.

Mangaka either put in a few month time skip without mentioning it or had his OC overload the toilet with 10 kilos of crap

There are a couple pages missing from the raws, but they are literally a repeat of her telling him to lose weight. Then him saying he exercised everyday, upped his proficiency, and getting a basic swordsmanship skill cause he swung a sword as part of exercising

Even if they were duplicate chapters, it would have been more obvious there was a time skip if he is overweight on page one and two, and then page 3 on shows him working out with his new slimer form...

OTOH, that doesn't account for this weight loss plan he is pitching to his estranged father, nor how he started to fix his reputation in the eyes of the house staff or his father. Sure everyone would hope the previously tyrannical young master had an epiphany and changed for the better. But even that would take more then a few days before they would trust it's not just some facade he's cooked up and is just scheming while they're not looking.

It's probably an extreme version of "You're grounded and you won't leave until you think about what you've done!" Without actually explaining why what they did was bad. Maybe under different circumstances, solitary confinement could have an effect, but being served tooth and nail by servants with access to books, food, and other stuff to entertain himself with, and Claus wouldn't be much different from a modern-day kid with a TV and video games in their room (If they weren't banned from using it, of course, but how likely would they follow the terms of that ban their parents enforced unless they took them away?).

Don't know how old Claus is supposed to be here, but seeing he's still about late elementary-early middle school age, he would probably not be mature enough to reflect on his actions by that point if he didn't get replaced by the reincarnation.
