are juniors middle school, and seniors high school, or are they all high schoolers?

iirc junior high is their middle school, and japan's middle school is only 3-year long (grade 7 - 9), and senior high means highschool (the hungry gorl explained that even though she's 17 year old, she's still a first-year of senior high)

Yeah, my (american) middle and high schools happened to follow this. 3 years of Middle School (7, 8, 9) and 3 years of High School (10, 11, 12).
Also since it was just Freshman, Junior, Senior for me so long, until college, I still sometimes have to focus on not mixing up the order of Sophomore and Junior.
