So far DEI has only affected a few large Japanese publishers like Capcom, Sony, and Sega. This series really doesn't appear affected at all. Not every strong female character is a DEI caricature. The captain is traditionally attractive, feminine, and the entire story is focused on her pursuit of a man.

I thought it was fine. They end up together, and the mangaka of course had to throw in another misunderstanding for the final two chapters, but it ended pretty sweetly.
The concept of this manga was already stretched, but I'm glad it's over and I'm more of less satisfied with the ending.
