I think the reason felt cringe worthy like that was because Juliet was way out of character. Where was the fight in her? All she's been through and not break, not putting up an argument, not making a scene, nor fighting back like she's done in the past? Seems like lazy story telling and may have a limited amount of chapters left under contract because they're going to end it soon.
I hope if Scott gets a character arc it's minus the tutu and dog collar, I'd like for him to go out with a little dignity.
