Did you not read the first sentence I wrote where I said that I was aware that is almost certainly where they were going with this? Hell, I said "i think we can all see where this is going" in the comments of chapter 1.

I know that Mao is the demon lord. Even without the very on-the-nose name that just drops the "u", it's obvious that the only major differences are her age and the fact that the chapter 0 prologue showed the grown demon lord with a tanned complexion that seems to be standard for demons (and explains why it would be changed to allow her to pass as something else)

I'm just saying that in spite of them foreshadowing this from the very outset of the series, I wish that they hadn't because kid Mao is cute and the best part of this story. Sacrificing her for the grown version to be Takuma's fated partner will be a waste. Because there's no way to have the best of both worlds here. Keeping her in her kid form would make it gross and having her act exactly the same as she does now once she's grown again would be kinda creepy (albeit on brand for Japan's love of women acting much younger than they are because it's "kawaii/moe" or whatever.) They did establish that the grown version is perhaps a bit childish and naive, but it probably can't be to the same degree (I hope).

How the fuck is that a handicap he’s a complete novice and he is an skilled knight dropping your sword or going down on your knees isn’t a fucking handicap using your non dominant hand would be more of a handicap cover one eye stand on only one leg a newbie couldn’t make him drop his word if he attacked for five hours especially since he can also use fucking magic lol.

Wired harem rant:There are ways to make profit and tech focuse characters charming having her talk about another guy in ch.7 was not the way to do it it’s fine to call someone hot and all but author took it to far in a way that felt kinda eww I know they ain’t dating officially but still I’m pretty sure being put together by god beats marriage and if you want to go the whole poly works both ways please talk about it before or immediately after she shows interest I’m her for the fantasy of the harem where women aren’t people in the romance side and only focus on a single person and lock in the second they choose them.

Also she herself in chapter 6 says husband not husbands so talking about her self positively to the elf brother is definitely sort of hitting on him after being told by god mc is her husband so I’m gonna double down on how it makes me feel icky.

I give it 50/50. Adult Maou had so much awareness that Mao might be a portion split off enough that she'll remain her own person afterward. (Or she won't. Story will tell.)

About this chapter, what I saw at the end was two new annoyances (both the fake hero and the grand vizier).
