Something bothers me about this, and I have no idea what. Is it cuz its generic? Do I not like the characters? I genuinely cannot figure it out, it's confusing.

I disagree. Seen more than a couple that was boring and repetitive. Even as GL.

Ngl, I was thinking this had promise in the first few chapters. Then the "gex" scene happened and it was just.... shoved to the side without a second thought? Like I am sorry but you would think at some point there would be a little acknowledgement between the two that it happened. Or what was it an illusion shown only to the spirit or something? It's stuff like this that turns me away from stories, mainly because it just feels like it was shoved in there for no reason.
