If it hurts, be a man and deal with it. Think of the people during WW2 who got a limb blown off, a kidney penetrated by a bullet, or their whole stomach cut open by a shrapnel. They didn't have any assistance buttons.

My mom's a nurse, and she would scold any patient who withheld info from her because 1. they would be jeopardizing their contract of trust with her and 2. any sign of pain might be a warning sign for something worse.
There's a time for grit, and a time for healing. Confuse one for the other, and you'll NEVER see the other.
