Oh hey! My home team lets go! Some things to consider.

The united states is one of the largest consumers of spicy foods on the planet. The hottest peppers in the world are grown in the american south and you'd be hard pressed to find a US servicemen that doesn't love spicy food. In fact, when i was in the infantry it was common practice for grunts to carry bottles or packets of hot sauce with us, in order to avoid the bland taste of MREs and A-RATS or field rations.

Additionally, one of the most popular food types in the US are asian foods, typically Chinese and Japanese but korean food doesn't lag too far behind. Granted, most of the foods are "Americanized" in some form or another. But the united states is the melting pot of cultures, and quite a few people would absolutely be willing to try new and foreign food types whilst over seas. It was one of my favorite activities during both of my deployments!

Lastly, i think my only hope is that we get a fair rendition of what americans are actually like rather than the common sentiment brought about by idiot tourists.
