I guess the author isint super familiar with american infantrymen. Regardless of which country's food it is, that entire buffet would've been gone in an hour. I remember going to norway in 2018 and our single company nearly ate the Norwegian military base out of house and home. The local restaurants saw a 1000% increase in sales for the 5 months we were there.
Additionally, this pompous general wouldn't have been chosen for this sort of role if this is how he behaves. The American military is very big on optics and foreign relations. Especially in our combat units. But i guess this isint outside of the norm of protrayals of americans 😒
