i know food stands are a huge thing but i'd feel awkward eating steak without it being on a skewer/would want like something lighter from a food truck like fries if i ordered from one if there wasn't a public table to sit on lol
asian parents for ya, tho he is in the military so i wouldn't be surprised if some calls were important (even if he is on vacation right now tho i assume a call means they'd want time to talk right away as opposed to just texting)
